Still nothing, but...

I’m doing my best to get the next episode in the can for next week.

We’ll try color again. I’ve been focusing some more attention on honing my Illustrator chops and I might be bringing a little color action to the next episode.

Rock band and guitar hero

I play a bit of the Rock Band, and a touch of the Guitar Hero. And I have to say that it’s one of the finest game experiences that one can have. It has also sealed the deal on whether or not I was ever going to become a musician.

It completely scratches the itch that playing the air guitar to Metallica or Pantera never could.

I’m due to pick up the 3rd Guitar hero some time here, but since I’m not a 360 or PS3 guy, Rock Band is out of my reach for now. However, I still haven’t finished GH1 or GH2 on Expert yet (Damn you Cowboys from Hell and Hanger 18!!!). So I have some work yet to do before I can truly flex my “King of You” muscles. Especially after hearing that a competitor has recently crossed Cowboys off his list. It chafes, you know.

Grandma as Administrative Assistant

Another nice few days with my mom coming to provide admin support for the VP. Thanks, Ma.

This gave me a chance to attend one of Erin’s midwife appointments and hear the heartbeat of the new hire.

Parenting moment of the week:
Climbing on top of an upside-down laundry basket

Had to balance the desire to run to grab camera and snap a picture with the legal and moral obligation to prevent the child harming herself.

What I’m Watching…

Lost S4E1

A solid start to the 4th season. I joined the bandwagon late, but caught up about 3/4 of the way through the 3rd season.

I’m avoiding spoilers for anyone here who hasn’t watched it but will, so suffice it to say that you should be watching this show. One of the few good original shows on to the TV.

Alan Moore documentary

There’s a 77min documentary about Alan Moore available for free viewing on AlterTube. It’s interesting. I’m not the biggest fan of the guy. He’s a touch overrated as a writer in my opinion, but he’s an interesting guy. And he’s been a big influence on the state of comics today.

You can also download the first issue of Moore’s run on Swamp Thing from back in the 80’s. I’m pretty sure this was his first appearance in American comics.
