34. The Dotted Line

The deal is spelled out, negotiations have ended, and the decision is before our Mr. Shempweiler.

Big snowstorms ain’t so bad.
The only bad thing about this weekend was the fact that I didn’t have to go anywhere…except out into the driveway to shovel my way to exhaustion.

But I took a nap on the couch at about 2pm. I seem to be succesfully fighting off an illness of some kind. The only casualty is my energy level. I was very sleepy for much of the weekend, going to bed at about 9 or so on Saturday, and wandering around in a fatigued daze all day Sunday (save for the demonstration of supreme shoveling power I put on for the neighborhood).

There should be football games on when there are snowstorms, though. Let’s hang that one out the window and see who climbs on up. Who’s with me?

Color?
If there were only a few more hours in the day, you would have seen the first color Q-Burger strip. I spent quite a bit of this weekend taking my first steps into a larger world by taking up my little Wacom pad and applying some paint to a few drawings that I’ve done.

It was fun. I have a long way to go, before I begin my career as a professional colorist for Marvel or DC, but it’s a start, and it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was going to be. So, depending on how nutty things get schedule-wise, you may start seeing some RGB Q-B action in this space.

Here’s a simple panel from today’s episode that I did manage to finish:
